As the Senior Specialist: Microsoft Security you will be responsible for the security design of the entire Microsoft stack, including on-premise and cloud products and services. This role provides technical security expertise to OPCOs as well as cross-functional support to Group Governance, Risk & Compliance, and Cyber Defence teams within the Group. The role works with the Senior Manager: Information Security Strategy, Architecture and Technical Excellence to develop and implement the overall Information Security strategy, security architecture requirements and framework, overarched by the business risk strategy.


The “Must-haves” we are looking for are:

4-year Engineering/ Information Science Degree
CISSP, CISM, CGEIT certification (one of) or equivalent
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Identity and access administrator associate, Security operations analyst, 365 security administration, Azure security technologies.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Security
Experience designing and implementing federated Microsoft security systems architecture and Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
Experience managing and implementing large scale Microsoft security projects
Experience working in Africa and Middle East and have a grasp of political, social, infrastructure and integrity challenges
Advanced working understanding of the information technology environment of a telecom company
Wide understanding of Security applications and capabilities is required to ensure secure deployment and operations of MTN key applications.
Mature understanding of the Hybrid cloud environment is required to support the legacy and cloud technology stacks and provide strategic guidance to the MTN OPCOs
